Cambridge Core

Cambridge University Press is providing free access to a collection of over 1,700 ebooks hosted on Cambridge Core.  The offer includes 700+ HTML Textbooks as well as the Cambridge Histories, Cambridge Companions, and Cambridge Elements collections.

In addition, free access is provided to Coronavirus research on Cambridge Core.  More than 80 relevant book chapters and journal articles are currently in the collection, with future articles being added once they are published.

JoVE Science Education Collection

Science Direct e-Textbooks

Available until: June 15th 2020

Elsevier has made about 250 e-textbooks available via Science Direct.

To find an e-textbook, once logged in to Science Direct:

  • Click on the Journals & Books link at the top of the screen
  • Select: Publication type: Book
  • Select: Access type: Subscribed & complimentary

You can download a list of included textbooks from their book title lists page.

Access issues

If you are experiencing problems accessing a trial, please check that:

  • you are linking to the resource from the library website
  • you are using your IT Tralee username (T-Number) and password to log in. Your password is the same password you use to log in to your email and Blackboard.

If you are still having access issues, please email library@staff.ittralee.ie and a member of the library team will respond to you as soon as possible.  Please include the following information in your email.

  • the name of the resource
  • are you trying to access the resource on or off campus
  • are you trying to access the resource from another country
  • browser name (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer etc)
  • where possible, please include screenshots of error messages
