🌍🏆 MTU Library recognised among the world’s leading sustainable libraries
MTU Library has achieved 3rd place globally in the prestigious 2026 IFLA Green Library Award presented at the World Library and Information Congress in Busan, South Korea.
Recognised for our approach to combining biophilia, sustainability and wellbeing, the judges described MTU as an inspiring example of how sustainability can be embedded into everyday library practice through creativity, collaboration and a strong focus on people.
This international recognition celebrates the work of colleagues across MTU Libraries who have helped make sustainability tangible, accessible and impactful throughout our campuses.
