A to Z Online Resources

Search the databases that MTU Kerry subscribes to across all subject areas. You can choose either search a specific database separately or a large number of databases simultaneously through our Multisearch option.

The Library’s Exam papers database holds past exam papers in all academic subject areas in the Institute for a period of 5 years.

Ask library staff for help

Library staff are here to help you make the best use of our information resources. If you need assistance finding a book or have any information request or other query about services in the library, then you can always ask a member of Library staff. Staff are always available at the main library desk to offer help and assistance or you can contact us by phone or e-mail.  The library’s contact details are available at the bottom of the page or, alternatively, you might want to visit our support section.

Google Scholar

Google Scholar can be a really useful resource also. Please remember to always search the Library’s subscribed databases also, either directly or through Multisearch as only a limited number of academic journals articles are made freely available through Google Scholar.

You can configure Google Scholar to allow automatic access to MTU Kerry Libraries subscription. This will give you access to more full text information.

  • You will need to set up IT Tralee as your institutional library in the settings in Google Scholar. (Go to settings and then library links) add “Institute of Technology Tralee- IT Collection and Save.
  • Once you have set up IT Tralee as your Library, when you do a search you will see “IT Collection” beside content IT Tralee libraries subscribes to.
  • Once you select this link you will be prompted to login.
  • Login with your valid IT Tralee computer account.
