A-Z Online Resources
IT Tralee Library subscribes to a large number of key online resources to aid you in your study.
IT Tralee library’s online resources are collections of paid-for articles, reports, standards, newspapers etc. They are available on and off campus. You will need your T-number and password to access the resources.
The resources tend to be subject-based. Some of the resources, such as Academic Search Complete and Science Direct, cover a number of different subjects.
Alternatively, you can use Multisearch which searches across all of the resources listed below, except for IHS.

Academic Search Complete is a scholarly collection offering thousands of full-text journals covering a broad range of important areas of academic study including: anthropology, astronomy, biology, chemistry, civil engineering, engineering, ethnic & multicultural studies, geology, law, materials science, mathematics, music, pharmaceutical sciences, physics, psychology, religion & theology, veterinary science, women studies, zoology.
AHFS Consumer Medication Information is a trusted source for patient drug information. AHFS includes over 1,000 drug information monographs written in lay language for consumers.
Coming from the American Psychological Association (APA), PsycArticles is a definitive source of full-text, peer-reviewed scholarly and scientific articles in psychology, containing over 100,000 articles from 59 journals. Coverage runs from 1894 to present.
The British National Formulary (BNF) provides health care professionals with independent, authoritative and up-to-date information on prescribing, dispensing and administering medicines.
The British National Formulary for Children (BNFC) provides practical, evidence-based guidance on the use of medicines in children ranging in ages from neonatal (including pre-term) to adolescent.
Business Source Complete offers full text for more than 2,300 journals, including full text for more than 1,100 peer-reviewed titles.
The world’s most comprehensive source of full text for nursing & allied health journals, providing full text for more than 560 journals indexed in CINAHL.

ECCH’s collection of management case studies and reprints of journal articles is a select and accessible resource of teaching materials.
Published by BMJ, Evidence Based Medicine offers evidence based research, insights and opinions on matters essential to health care. The journal focuses on the fundamental concepts, methods and tools at the core of practising evidence based medicine.
Co-owned by BMJ and RCNi, EBMH provides researchers and practitioners with up-to-date research, clinical reviews and opinions and their applications in the field of evidence based mental health. Content includes case conferences, expert commentaries and practical statistics articles which practitioners can use to learn how to apply evidence based mental health approaches to their own clinical practices.

The Health Research Premium Collection from Proquest provides access to the latest medical information essential for medical students and researchers . The collection includes over 4,500 full text health and medical journals, grey literature, instructional videos and more, offering a central access point to a variety of essential medical resources.
This database provides nearly 550 scholarly full-text journals focusing on many medical disciplines. Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition also features the AHFS Consumer Medication Information, which covers 1,300 generic drug patient education sheets with more than 4,700 brand names.
IEEE Xplore Digital Library offers online access to almost 3-million full-text documents from some of the world’s most highly cited publications in electrical engineering, computer science and electronics. This resource holds 151 journals, over 900 conference proceedings, more than 3,400 technical standards, over 400 ebooks and 200 educational courses. Please note that around 25,000 new documents are added to IEEE Xplore each month.
IHS Technical Indexes Info 4 Education offers access to The Occupational Health and Safety Information Service, Environmental Management, Specify-IT, Engineer-IT and The Irish Construction Information Service. Plus, IHS is a leading edge supplier of BSI British Standards, Standards, Regulations and Product and Supplier Information.

Library, Information Science and Technology Abstracts Indexes over 500 core journals, more than 50 priority journals, and 125 selective journals; plus books, research reports and proceedings, with coverage that includes librarianship, classification, cataloging, bibliometrics, online information retrieval, information management and more.
MEDLINE Complete includes more than 2,200 full-text online journals as well as MeSH (Medical Subject Headings) for more than 5,200 current biomedical journals. Coverage dates back to 1916 and many journals included are available with no embargo, allowing users to access the information as soon as it is published.

The Royal College of Nursing e-learning platform is available to all nursing staff and student nurses currently teaching and learning at IT Tralee. RCNi Learning is a fully interactive learning resource and includes more than 200 e-learning modules, covering a wide range of topics. The resource is mobile friendly and the RCNi Learning mobile app can be used offline, so you can learn any place, any time. Regional Business News is a supplemental database of Business Source Premier. With daily updates, Regional Business News provides comprehensive full text for regional U.S. and Canadian business publications (including titles from Crain Communications). Regional Business News has full text for more than 100 sources.

Teachers’ Reference Centre is a bibliographic index of more than 260 titles from teacher and administration trade journals, periodicals and books.
Westlaw.ie offers instant access to Irish reported and unreported case law, legislation and court rules, journals and legal news.
