A-Z Online Resources
IT Tralee Library subscribes to a large number of key online resources to aid you in your study.
IT Tralee library’s online resources are collections of paid-for articles, reports, standards, newspapers etc. They are available on and off campus. You will need your T-number and password to access the resources.
The resources tend to be subject-based. Some of the resources, such as Academic Search Complete and Science Direct, cover a number of different subjects.
Alternatively, you can use Multisearch which searches across all of the resources listed below, except for IHS.

Academic Search Complete is a scholarly collection offering thousands of full-text journals covering a broad range of important areas of academic study including: anthropology, astronomy, biology, chemistry, civil engineering, engineering, ethnic & multicultural studies, geology, law, materials science, mathematics, music, pharmaceutical sciences, physics, psychology, religion & theology, veterinary science, women studies, zoology.
AHFS Consumer Medication Information is a trusted source for patient drug information. AHFS includes over 1,000 drug information monographs written in lay language for consumers.
Business Source Complete offers full text for more than 2,300 journals, including full text for more than 1,100 peer-reviewed titles.
The world’s most comprehensive source of full text for nursing & allied health journals, providing full text for more than 560 journals indexed in CINAHL.
Containing high-quality, independent evidence to assist healthcare decision-making, this resource covers reliable evidence from Cochrane and other systematic reviews and clinical trials.
Emerald Fulltext is the world’s leading publisher of management journals and databases.
Emerald Tourism and Hospitality Management represents the perspectives of world leading researchers from the unique and diverse fields of tourism and hospitality.
ERIC provides free access to over 1.2 million bibliographic records of journal articles plus other education-related materials and, where available, offers links to full text.
ECCH’s collection of management case studies and reprints of journal articles is a select and accessible resource of teaching materials.
Offers scholarly, government and general interest titles on all aspects of human impact to the environment, including global warming, green building, pollution, sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, recycling and more. GreenFile provides indexing and abstracts for more than 384,000 records, as well as open access full-text for more than 4,700 records.
This database provides nearly 550 scholarly full-text journals focusing on many medical disciplines. Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition also features the AHFS Consumer Medication Information, which covers 1,300 generic drug patient education sheets with more than 4,700 brand names.
IEEE Xplore Digital Library offers online access to almost 3-million full-text documents from some of the world’s most highly cited publications in electrical engineering, computer science and electronics. This resource holds 151 journals, over 900 conference proceedings, more than 3,400 technical standards, over 400 ebooks and 200 educational courses. Please note that around 25,000 new documents are added to IEEE Xplore each month.
IHS Technical Indexes Info 4 Education offers access to The Occupational Health and Safety Information Service, Environmental Management, Specify-IT, Engineer-IT and The Irish Construction Information Service. Plus, IHS is a leading edge supplier of BSI British Standards, Standards, Regulations and Product and Supplier Information.
Journal of Adventure Education and Outdoor Learning is the official journal of the UK based Institute for Outdoor Learning. This journal is published by Taylor and Francis and is peer reviewed by an international review board.
Developed in cooperation with Queen’s University Belfast, JSTOR Ireland Collection contains a minimum of 75 journals, over 200 monographs and 2,500 manuscripts. Nexis UK consists of Local, National and International Newspapers plus Company, Industry and Country profiles that include statistical, PESTEL and SWOT analysis.
Coming from the American Psychological Association (APA), PsycArticles is a definitive source of full-text, peer-reviewed scholarly and scientific articles in psychology, containing over 100,000 articles from 59 journals. Coverage runs from 1894 to present.
Regional Business News is a supplemental database of Business Source Premier. With daily updates, Regional Business News provides comprehensive full text for regional U.S. and Canadian business publications (including titles from Crain Communications). Regional Business News has full text for more than 100 sources.
Offering access to over a quarter of the world’s scientific, medical and technical information available online, Science Direct covers over 2,000 peer-reviewed journals hundreds of book series, handbooks and reference works.
The world’s most comprehensive source of full text for sports & sports medicine journals, SPORTDiscus provides full text for 550 journals, with coverage dating back to 1985.
Teachers’ Reference Centre is a bibliographic index of more than 260 titles from teacher and administration trade journals, periodicals and books.
Westlaw.ie offers instant access to Irish reported and unreported case law, legislation and court rules, journals and legal news.
